I’ve been working diligently on my Project Life. And, I have managed to complete January…almost. I realize one month isn’t much but it’s a start and I’m definitely motivated to keep it up. I have 2 missing pictures but already have a picture to fill in one of the spaces. It’s been so much fun. I thought keeping up with the pictures would be the hardest part, but it turns out the journaling is what is really time consuming. For January, I wrote all of January's journaling cards out in one sitting and was tempted to quit several times because it was so time consuming. I think for February, I’ll write them as I go.
I’ve also done some other scrapping…
This is of our little trailer house that I love so much. It’s small but it’s cozy. It was here when we bought the property, so we gutted it, put new floors, painted, etc. in and moved right in. We’ll build someday, but I’ve really come to love it over the past 5 years.
This next one is from last summer on the Kootenai River. A college roommate of mine, Annie, from Seattle takes the train to Libby with her girls every summer to visit for a week. It is a great tradition and I look forward to it every year. I am so honored that they choose to spend part of their summer with us each year. She always comes when JD is in Seattle working so it’s just a couple of women with 4 kids and it’s a blast. We spend our days eating way to much and mixing ourselves cocktails. We take little adventures on day hikes, or to the lake or creek. Her girls are older and always tell us we talk way too loud and way too much. I secretly think they like it because we are pretty funny, just ask us.
This is a bit out of season but its the first Halloween layout I’ve ever made. This was from two years ago and Lucky was George Washington, which was hilarious. He wasn’t terribly thrilled to be George, he would have preferred to be Batman that year. But…JD and I thought it would be so hilarious, that we kind of forced him to be George Washington. Once we got the the festival at church, he would only answer to the name “George” and…he ended up winning the costume contest, so being George wasn’t so bad after all. Unfortunately, since then, I've lost all influence. We wanted him to be General George Custer this past year but he really, really wanted to be Luke Skyewalker. So, Luke it was.
This last one I just made this past weekend. It’s one of my favorite pictures of all time; all of the kids between my brother and I. 4 of them are my brothers, and I’m so jealous. I wish I had gotten started earlier, so I could have had 4 kids. I also wish we all lived closer so I could see them all on a regular basis. Ian is 16, Anna 15, Ruby 7, Lucky 6, Sydney 1.5, and Kylie not even a month! We were all together at my parents house last July and we were having a bar.b.que on their lawn. We actually get all the kids together several times a year and in fact, they’ll all be in Libby tomorrow for the weekend and we’ll all be packed into our little trailer!
